What is virgin hair?

Virgin hair is hair that has not been colored, permed, straightened or chemically treated in any way. All of our hair is in its natural state when cut and is guaranteed to be in correct cuticle alignment.

What is remy hair?

Remy Hair is considered to be the finest quality of human hair because the cuticles are kept intact and not stripped, like in most other non-Remy hair extensions. Preserving the hairs’ cuticles and aligning them in a unidirectional fashion creates extensions that are completely natural in appearance. This process ensures that the hair remains super soft, shiny, silky and completely tangle-free throughout its lifetime.

How long will the hair last?

The longevity of our virgin hair depends on how well the hair is maintained. Due to its natural strength and durability, our hair will last over 1 year if properly installed and taken care of.

How much hair will I need for a full head?

It depends on the style, amount of volume and the look that you desire but for a full install, we generally recommend buying 2 bundles of hair for shorter lengths and 3 bundles for longer lengths. Longer length wefts are shorter in width. Therefore please view the guide below:

2 bundles recommended for 14-16″

3 bundles recommended for 18-24″

4-5 bundles recommended for 26-30

Can I color my virgin hair?

Yes, you can color virgin hair the same way you would your own natural hair. Our hair is natural virgin hair that has never been chemically treated and it can therefore handle the coloring process very well. For hair that is bleached, we strongly recommend an immediate deep conditioning treatment to reintroduce moisture into the hair after being stripped during the bleaching process. Once you color or process virgin hair, it will no longer be considered “virgin”. We recommend consulting a professional if you wish to color your new hair. Please take into consideration that once your hair has been chemically treated it will require much more maintenance (conditioning and oil treatments).

What can I use to seal my wefts? Do you recommend sealing wefts?

We recommend that you seal your wefts with a fabric sealant or fabric glue to minimize shedding, however it does not guarantee to stop the shedding completely. An example of a sealant is Fray Check. We do not guarantee the effectiveness of Fray Check neither do we assume an liability of any damage that may be incurred with the use of Fray Check. We are simply listing a popular weft sealant in the virgin hair community.

How do I seal my wefts?

To seal wefts, completely unravel the bundle and lay the hair completely flat on a clean surface. Spread a small amount of the sealant along the actual weft from end to end. Allow the sealant to dry and turn the hair over to the other side. Seal the other side of the hair and allow the hair to fully dry before installing the hair.

Will the hair shed?

Yes, all hair sheds including the hair that naturally grows from our scalp. Therefore it is no way to stop shedding however cheaper quality hair will shed significantly more that higher quality hair. Common shedding is a few strands daily. You may find ways to limit shedding. We do not guarantee no shedding. Cutting wefts during the install process will also cause the hair to shed. We recommend that wefts be sealed and wefts be minimally cut during install process.
